Tafsir Imdad al-Karam is the first ever detailed commentary and exegesis of the holy Qur’an to be written in the United Kingdom for the twenty first century audience of both the Muslim and non-Muslim world living in the West or the East.
For a long time there was a dire need for a brief and concise Tafsir of the Holy Qur’an, presented in a simple and comprehensible manner. In Tafsir Imdad-ul-Karam, difficult issues have been written in very simple terms in order to make the last and final testament of Allah (most high) accessible to scholars as well as the general reader.
This five-volume masterpiece is the product of the relentless decade-long hard work, research and literary efforts of the author and exegete, Shaykh Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada, and at present stands as the magnum opus of his written works. It is the first such commentary that delves deep into straightforward and logical examinations and explanations of the Qur’anic teachings and wisdoms in light of the present context, in time and place, and it explores the contemporary issues and challenges at the forefront of the world’s attention at the dawn of this twenty first century. The author began this great and blessed task on 30 September 2000 (1 Rajab 1421 AH) at Jamia Al-Karam in Retford and completed the final lines of this commentary on 7 March 2011 (2 Rabi’ al-Thani 1432 AH) at al-Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
The first volume consists of the chapters al-Fatihah (1) to al-An’am (6); the second volume consists of the chapters al-A’raf (7) to Banu Isra’il (17); the third volume consists of the chapters al-Kahf (18) to al-Sajdah (32); the fourth volume consists of the chapters al-Ahzab (33) to al-Tur (52) and the final volume consists of the chapters al-Najm (53) to al-Nas (114).
