Mahabbat-e Rasul (Love for the Messenger)

This important book is titled ‘Mahabbat-e Rasul awr uss ke taqaazey’, meaning ‘Love of the Messenger (peace be upon him) and its Demands’.

The book delves into the definition of love, the nature of loving Allah Almighty, and the nature of loving the sublime Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him). The book focusses on its primary objective of understanding the demands of this love with special emphasis on the blessed pillar of Islam ‘the Prayer (al-Salat)’ and the physical, prophetic Sunnah ‘the Beard (al-Lihyah)’. The book provides a concise, scholarly and decisive discourse in relation to the beard, its significance and rulings relating to it. Themes discussed among others include the beard of the sublime Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him), his Companions, and other Prophets of God; the ruling regarding the beard and its description; the symbols of Islam; the Prophet’s love for the beard; understanding the concept of Sunnah; etc.
