English rendering of Tafsir Imdad al-Karam; the Urdu translation and uncomplicated commentary of the Qur’an by Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada, the founder and principal of Jamia Al-Karam, England.
The Qur’an is the final book of Almighty Allah, which was revealed upon the final Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and grant him peace). This book is comprehensive, and its teachings are complete and perfect, and full of guidance.
The people of knowledge have presented esteemed and valued services in relation to Qur’an commentary. By diving deep into the ocean of words and meanings, they extracted countless pearls of knowledge and wisdom, which they have written into the books of Qur’an commentary. A common and ordinary person, however, does not have the ability with which he can comprehend matters relating to etymology, syntax and language. Therefore, there was a need for a commentary in which the meaning of the Qur’an is explained in a very simple, straightforward and easy manner.
Furthermore, the Qur’an is a universal, all-inclusive and eternal message of guidance that is not bound by any time or place. Therefore, there was also a need for a commentary that gives greater importance to those issues and proofs which can have an effect in today’s society that is ardently dedicated to intellect, reason and logic, and that can prove helpful towards understanding Islam. It is part of human nature that logical reasoning and practical examples are desired in order to gain heartfelt satisfaction and contentment. With these thoughts in mind, the commentary to this sublime word is presented here.
