Tafsir al-Jilani (Urdu, 2 volume set)

After remaining unpublished for nearly nine centuries as a manuscript hidden in a library museum, the commentary of the holy Qur’an written by the legendary scholar and saint of Baghdad, al-Ghawth al-A‘zam, Shaykh Muhy al-Din ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani (ra), has in the near past been extracted and published for the benefit of the people.

This ‘Tafsir al-Jilani’ is the Urdu translation of the first two volumes of the commentary. Mufti Abdul Rasool Mansoor al-Azhari has rendered a tremendous service by beautifully translating this commentary into the Urdu language for the benefit of the Urdu speaking world. The translation of the Qur’anic verses within this commentary is by Shaykh Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada.

Tafsir al-Jilani is a scholarly yet concise commentary by the notable sixth century saint and is a valuable reference source.
